1909 – Congregational Church building erected.

2015 – Church undertakes Island-wide survey which elicits responses indicating a need for a gathering place and commercial kitchen. (Need for a gym and/or physical training space also ranked high on this survey.)

2016, June – Health and Safety Code concerns prompt the creation of a church Task Force to research and respond.

2017 , January – Congregation votes to pursue the building project directing the Task Force to bring a recommendation to the Church Council.

2017, May – Congregation votes to accept the building proposal and launch a capital campaign to fund The Gathering Place.

2017, Summer & Fall – Capital Campaign to fund The Gathering Place.

2018 – Construction of The Gathering Place.
